Coming to you live from the Madison, WI, as I’m volunteering for my 4th @crossfitgames . This time, I finally made it onto the Media/Documentary Team where we produce the Miles to Madison series and the CrossFit documentaries. As a CrossFit-obsessed filmmaker, I’ve been trying to get on this team for five years and now I’m finally here. I can say that I’ve definitely paid my dues so getting this position was especially sweet. If you’ve never volunteered before, it’s an incredibly rewarding experience!

To incarcerate your dome

I’ve been gently trying to tell you
For the last now twenty years
That there are wicked wicked wonders
That gain life force from your tears

The life you think is normal
Is your born and given birthright
Is your born and given birth right
Is now rotting and it stinks

While you sit there drunk by noontime
Binging chocolate cake and porn
With your timeless tin foil toon towns
Turning Children of the Corn

Cuz the vultures sure are hungry
And they’ve been waiting in the wings
To engorge their blatant bellies
With your heart and your purse strings

So while church is closed on Sunday
Cuz the worry of The Man
Has your weak and feckless bible
Like a drunk over the can

Spewing filth and fraternizing
Are the leaders on The Hill
Puppet pulling weightless wires
Broke the -do off of their dil-.

Who can blame them if they try

Read on... ****** In 2017, I watched my father take his last breath as he succumbed to sarcopenia and heart failure stemming from Type II diabetes. He was 75. On top of the devastation to his body, dementia had rendered him insane. In the 40 years since he was diagnosed with diabetes, his health was in a slow and steady decline but quickly accelerated in the final six months.

Now here is a metabolic disease that is completely reversible through dietary and lifestyle changes. His diet was on point, but he never exercised.
